The Rostock University of Music and Drama (hmt) is a state university of the arts, funded by the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and public corporation. It trains approximately 550 students for careers in the fields of music, teaching of music and musicology as well as acting and the teaching of drama. With more than 300 public events, the University located in Rostock enriches the cultural life of the Hanseatic city and surrounding region.
