Ensemble Dimensions

The Ensemble Dimensions was founded together with like-minded international musicians, the piano duo Olha Chipak and Oleksiy Kushnir, the concert pianist Lilit Grigoryan and the percussion duo Theresia Seifert and Francisco Manuel Anguas Rodriguez. It is an ensemble that is unique in the world in its composition - three pianos, two percussionists.

A more familiar line-up of two pianos and two percussionists gives a work a certain scope. However, the addition of a third piano opens up a completely new horizon, new dimensions in the sound and new stereophonic possibilities in all their fullness. This not only offers room for creativity in new compositions, but also familiar symphonic works can show their special, unexpected and secret sides in a new light - from a new perspective, among other things through the flexibility and free breathing of a chamber music ensemble.

After the success of its first programme ‘Symphonic Dances’, Ensemble Dimensions has taken a step forward by commissioning new pieces by David Moliner (Spain), Bohdana Frolyak (Ukraine), Wolfgang-Andreas Schultz (Germany) and Benjamin Lang (Germany) for this formation and premiering them in March 2025.
